Hello. I have Audi A6 2005. 2.4 and my Multitronic is working very good so far. I see a lot of multitronic go broke and have problems with gears reverse etc.... If you can tell how to avoid problems like that I would be grateful. Beside oil change what should I do. Drive normal I mean not floor it. Anything else please tell me. Thank you very much. You can write in German i will use Google translate.

Hi there!
Well, the problem is you cannot do too much besides the moderate driving and the periodic change of ATF (officially after 60'000 kms, many users here renew the ATF after 30'000kms). Maybe a cleaning process after the "Coupe110 method" (search for term Ölspülung Coupe110 Methode) can also provide a bit more life. Eventually, some parts of the MT will wear out and lead to some of the problems discussed in this board. What often happens is a defect of the electronic control unit - that is not avoidable at all and just needs fixing by a specialist when it occurs: these defects can be repaired in most cases.
Enjoy driving your car!
Best regards
Christian
